Is china as big of a threat to the world as the ussr was?

Waaaay bigger threat than the USSR ever was. USSR seemed like a bigger threat militarily at the time but it was largely paranoia. But China manufactures almost everything for the entire western world including our medicines, antibiotics, they own many large media companies, and they have our economy by the balls because the corporations that pay campaigns and lobby the politicians all manufacture in china and also desperately want to break into the chinese market. The best thing for the west is to start manufacturing more in India and the US should move towards manufacturing in Mexico and try to distance itself from China.

Economically yes.

Militarily, no.
