Is being skinny bad?

All of my friends always say that I need to "Get some meat on my bones" and personaly, it's hard...i've tried but for some reason I think i'm just naturally thin. Like, i'm not REALLY thin i'm just more thin than all my friends. And i'm wondering if being thin is bad but...i'm really happy with the way I look. Isn't that all that matters?

  • People say those things because they are jealous and healthy weight to them is being fat. Ignore it.

Omg me too!! Its so annoying especially when Heavier people say it. Its better than being fat! Ughh...society portrays skinny people as unhealthy, malnourished, anorexic twigs. :( it makes me self conscious.

you may have a small frame and a high metabolism. Really depends how tall you are.

  • Only in America could you have a healthy BMI and be told to eat more. I feel your annoyance.

If you're naturally thin & healthy then who cares what anyone thinks! There are a lot of people like that. BUT theres a difference between looking good thin, & all cracked out looking (ex. Lindsay Lohan, Tara Reid, Olsen Twins) thats something to be concerned about & admittedly Ive looked at people like that & thought they need to eat more, or they are sick.

I think when people say it (maybe not all the time) they kind of mean it as a compliment. All they're saying is that your skinny anyways right? How is that an insult if anything it's a compliment

Eh, I get the same. It's annoying but it can make me a little self conscious for being thin. Try not to stress.

It is healthier to have a bit of muscle, than to be skin & bones. Noodley arms aren't nice, even for women.

I am slim too... But I have more strength than most of my friends who have muscular build... Go for developing your muscles if you want... But people have their own body structure....

Don'T try to get bigger! This is ridiculous! If you have a healty wieght than they are just jealous fatties. America is fucking dying.

If you are skinny , and not slim (there'S a difference) than you might try to go to the gym and eat healty food and check up to see if you have enough protein in your diet (helps your muscles to ''grow''and maintein them). That way you gain muscles so you look and will be healtier.

If you are in good shape and naturaly ''underweight'' than don't change , just make sure you have a healty diet with all the nutriment you need.

Because if you eat loads of sugar and fat to gain weight and don't see the difference , YOUR BODY DOES and you'll end up with diabete and high pressure even if you still LOOK healty.

The average people in USA is overweight, take that from a Canadian that goes in camping in USA every summer.

Seriously , in canada healty wieght people still over-number fat people but in the usa it's the other way around and it's no good so don't let them talk down on you. I know how it is!! In USA people give me dirty looks and I can hear some negative comments behind my back when I order a salad and a bottle of water!!!!

At least I will see my grand-kids.

ps; sorry for my english , it,s not my mother language

you haven't tried hard enough obviously bc it's very possible within a small time frame. just schedule your meals every 3-4 hrs to eat, it's so simple.
