Is being a pervert a choice or is it just who the person is?

I just like to understand the mind and how it works. People seem to see the word pervert something lower than dirt. But is it A choice? I mean to me no one is born perverted obviously they just become perverted, but by what cause? Choice or not, do you believe it can be changed?

I'm not just asking to understand others, but also myself, my perverted ways, I am just wondering if I can fix myself. I have tried before but it never lasts, but maybe I didn't try hard enough?

Its A choice 25
Its not A choice 26

Both. You can't choose what pops into your head, but you can choose to keep your mouth shut about it.

I can be perverted in words.. But not in actions. I wish I could be more actionary and just be sexual

It's not a choice, like anything else.

I don't know. I'm not really perverted, but I like perverted stuff. So pervertception. I like looking, reading and role-playing perverted stuff. BUT, in real life I'd never do those things. So boing .o.

There seem to be two definitions of pervert defined in the comments: 1. a person who acts inappropriate and horny 2. a person with unusual sexual desires.

Nobody HAS to act inappriopriate and horny. You are responsible for your own behavior. As for abnormal sexual desires, a lot of that is hard-wired.

Perversion can be defined as, " sexual behavior or desire that is considered abnormal or unacceptable.". Its a choice, and perhaps maybe something that certain people just cannot help.

While i may have a huge collection of porn at home, i tend to "shy" away when in public. Its not like i dont notice tight jeans, cleavage and short skirts - i Most certainly do.

My rule is 3 seconds max (per glance). more than 3 seconds (or glances) and i personally feel like im being a pervert and as society (or the dictionary) puts it - is considered abnormal and unacceptable.

By no means am i saying women should dress "less sexy" or cover up more. Hell if you got it, flaunt it!

But there are some real perverts out there. Some will just stare, lick their lips; try and make eye contact with you - get your attention. Some could, might just be; real predators out there looking for prey...

What the hell is a pervert anyway? What behaviors constitute being perverted? People use it to describe creepy men, anal sex, and gay people. So what does it even mean anymore?

Interesting. I've mostly heard it applied to lecherous old men :P but I've heard it used in many ways.

I also jokingly use the word perv to describe myself sometimes due to some of the weird stuff that pops into my head. lol
