Is antisemitism normal?

I was talking about this with a jew friend of mine. These are things that he himself told me. I just never knew the antisemitism was such a strong issue.

According to him, jews have been hated by most nations and cultures through all history. Even in Hitler's era, most nations had a negative perception of jews. Nazi Germany just went too far.

So, after WW II, people started feeling guilty and sorry about jews, but deep inside they still had a negative image. Jews were given Israel by the UN, and that just opened another pandora's box.

Right now, new generations don't find reasons to hate jews anymore... but they don't love them either. In my friends words: "You will never find any community that says 'We love Jews'".

I just wanted to know if it is normal for people to feel so much aversion towards jews. So, is it?

There you go. Now perhaps you could ask him what his theory is on WHY his people are so loathed.

      • What absolute goddamned drivel. Fortunately those in the comments section are clearly more enlightened than the author.

This list are things people have believed in the past, thankfully, not now.
The author isn't saying any of it is "true"....just that these are issues from the past. Luckily, you ,and you're generation, see the silliness ..
I'm hoping that will continue across the board

          • Perhaps you misunderstood me. I was suggesting that there ARE valid reasons for what we know as "antisemitism," but those presented within that article are just apologist nonsense.

Do I really have to say "I love Jews" to demonstrate I'm not antisemetic? Jews are never even on my mind.

Hitler was impotent and hated himself so much he tried every method imaginable to detroy himself. He wouldn't have even been eligible for his own master race.

      Self loathing is very destructive.

It's not normal, and the feelings have changed in the US.....Mostly because of the Republican party and the Christians want to protect the Jewish State of Israel because the bible says that once the Jewish people are in their "promised land" Jesus will come again....

"Hey mate buy me a pint"
    "No get your own"
