    The two go hand in hand IMO. I love my best friend, who is also my lover and my wife.
    I have had a few friends who weren't lovers, but I've never had a lover who wasn't a friend.

    Friendships never corrupt, you never expect them to vanish or reappear just because you no longer put a dick in a vagina. As such, friendship is better than being lovers. You get more consistent happiness out of it.

    Too many choices.

    It boils down to, friendships are good with same gender, fucking is good with other gender. Reverse if you've got the gay.
