Is a generous person who doesn't have much kindhearted or stupid?

For example, if a person is on a very low income and never has much money to rub together, but infrequently they have a little extra than normal but they choose to spend this money on their friends, (therefore blowing their ability to save the money for themselves) would you say they're more kindhearted or stupid?

It depends what they want out of life. It could be one, both or neither.

Either way, I bet they are happy.

Maybe the person is codependent and wants to be liked?

In most cases i'd say kindhearted but if they're barly making it through, then they should put themselves first. In the end, if "spoiling" their friends makes them happy, then that's great.

I personally do that and i don't consider myself stupid because i only do this to the ones i truely care about. The moment i feel like they were just taking advantage of me, i'd stop.

Hey, do what you want with your money, but I won't call you stupid for kit.

    • Yeah, in retrospect, I think stupid is the wrong word for what I'm trying to say. I'll think it through better next time I make a poll. I just think there are people out there who are generous at the expense of themselves, and they never get anywhere in life and people end up taking advantage of them. So I was curious to see how they are viewed.
