Is “funner” a real word

Like if I ask you—Which one is ‘Funner’?? Basketball or Football?

Does that make any sense?? Seems weird to me

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • Proper American English says, "more fun" but you be you.

      Amen!

American by birth, Southern by the grace of God!

*experiences flashes of Dixie Carter as Julia Sugarbaker in her head*

funner is not a formal word, but it is an informal one. It is on the Merriam-Webster website.

People will know what you mean, but it's not a real word. Maybe ask them which one they like more.

I prefer the word that is spelled correctly!

Also more more fun just sounds better.
