I am a 22 year old male and I have only been intimate with 2 women in my life. The way I see it is if you can not see yourself having a relationship with someone for the rest of your life you shouldnt risk having a child with them. Im not saying you have to get married and live happily ever after but every child deserves to have both parents in its life which means there would need to be some type of a relationship between the parents for the childs sake. What I want to know is it normal for someone in there early to mid 20s to have been intimate with nearly 20 people?

    I'm not going to sit here and say I haven't been with alot of men because I have, most of them love based and a few have been flings. Does this make me a whore in the eyes of some probably in my eyes I see it as enjoying life and the company of men. I've been in a open relationship for 10 years and I have no want or need to get married, I'm just not the marrying type I like my life to be open, honest, and fun. I like knowing that I experienced the people I met. Your suppose to live life without regrets....and that's exactly what I'm doing.

    You use the term "intimacy" very loosely. Do you mean actual closeness or just sex? I can't imagine being really close to that many people. If that's the case that's really sad to have had your heart broken so many times. :/

    If it's just sex, it's normal. Just try to find that special someone before you catch a disease.

    My husband is 26 and has only been with me and one other person. I love that about him! :) And I totally agree that a child should have both parents. Preferably together. <3

    The number doesn't matter. What matters is whether you're capable of building a long-term, fulfilling relationship, i.e. the quality. Many people can't, and a high number is a sad indicator of that. You sound fairly mature and sensible about it, though, so I'm guessing you're one of the lucky ones who can.
