Internships are evil. i would outlaw them. iin?

I have never had to do a lowly traditional internship. I have been a "working student" to net training but that was all agreed upon in a contract. That was great. The usual internships I hear about? Sound like a waste of valuable time. I've heard horror stories. I know people who suffer from what is a form of hazing, I believe. They're wrong. People should be paid at least. Is it normal I think they ought to be outlawed?

Unpaid internships are almost criminal. No joke, I'm happy that my professor told me to hold out for a paid entry-level position, or I wouldn't have gotten my TA job.

Internship has nothing to do with hazing and anyone doing so is probably not a real legit business. So please report them. Also you are wrong about internships. Many internships are paid and some are not. A paid internship could be considered "On the job" training. Hazing happens in college and in high-school and its often students hosting clubs not employers looking for interns. Its also said that students who do paid Internships are more likely to get work than people with unpaid internships.

I agree. You do work, you get paid.
Money is the reason we spend hours at our workplaces.
