To insult someone dumber than yourself is not wrong.
But if someone smarter than yourself insult you, it suddenly becomes wrong.
Am i the only one who finds this behaviour to be common and hypocritical?
Both are wrong. Anyone who puts someone down because of their perception of that person's intelligence, greater or lesser, is simply showing their own lack of intelligence.
Well...I've often found that the most startlingly intelligent people I've ever encountered understand the value of social interaction and the power of being underestimated when it comes to intelligence. Sometimes the smartest person in the room realizes that they are best suited by pretending to be the third smartest person in the room. There is power in that.

Your second line: I insult you > wrong
Your words did not make sense.
The reason is you changed the point at the start.
Your first line started by stating, 'To insult'
Your second line started by stating 'Someone ..insult'
You basically said the same thing twice, but changed the answer!

People are forgetting that there are just some genuinely stupid and ignorant people out there who need to be woken up. Like religious fundamentalists.
Well I find that when someone thinks they are smarter and trys to put you down...actually they arnt any smarter...most of the time they just have more knowledge in a few areas.
My brother is very smart... and tries to put others down. He has a difficult time doing this with me because even tho he has so much knowlege about science and math... he knows nothing about art. So i just start spouting off art stuff he doesnt know.
Instead of insulting them just walk away that is the true measure of intelligence.
Instead of saying stuff like OMG you are so fucking stupid that you paid for free parking.
