Is this normal? Does anybody else?
Yes. Christmas tends to make me depressed. (We don't celebrate it because it has roots in Paganism.) Halloween originally had a good action behind it, but now it has turned evil and less than innocent. It mirrors a society that is rooted in violence. It's too dangerous to go trick-or-treating anymore. The hypocritical logic that surrounds this, doesn't make any sense either. Normally, you wouldn't let your kids have candy from strangers, but yet, it's perfectly acceptable to do this on this one night? The holiday also seems keen on promoting cannibalism. O_o
I hate Christmas. Halloween can be fun if you're not stuck at home. Halloween parties are the best!
Halloween I like. Christmas or the Winter Solstice as I call it is the worst of the corporate holidays. Manly because Jesus wasn't even born in december.
You must be particularly sensitive if someone's personal opinion as to whether or not they choose to celebrate an occasion ... offends you. Thankfully I have not included the reasons why, and have established your judgmental nature; as a result, I am not sure being liked by you is of too much value to me.
I always hope that this X-Mas it will be different, but then the commercialization turns me into a fruitcake with too many cherries in it.
Halloween hasn't been any fun since the war; I don't much like loud bangs anymore.
I wish there were two Halloweens instead. Christmas needs more spooky.
