Inn to get my period twice in one month ? (mature only)

Last month I got my monthly twice. My normal one came regularly at the end of the month. Then I took a plan b and a week later I got my monthly again. Just one week apart. Is this normal?

My monthlies are usuallly very regular . And I'm not sure if I will get it again this month.

It's normal to get spotting if you take a plan b- it was probably a side effect of the medication and not an actual period.

    • But it wasn't spotting. If anything (sorry inadvance) it was heavier. Not by much but still and THEN I had spottin for 2.5 days afterwards.

It's ok, lol- no worries! I know that it can be a bit scary when your body does weird shit. Spotting can mean anything from a light flow to something resembling a regular period. It's not an unusual symptom after taking plan b, which is quintessentially a double dose of progesterone.

You should be perfectly fine, but if you are still worried, see a gynecologist..

Plan B is a double dose of birth control pills, and it can absolutely cause irregular or abnormal bleeding. Why don't you just use the pill like its meant to be used? Like as a steady birth control, 1 pill a day. Its a lot more effective than plan B.

My wife was going through that which is why I am commenting. It started at 38 or 39 and by 42 menopause had come full force. She's fine. Hope that helped you.

    • Thanks but I'm only 19. Lol

Sorry to hear that though. I thought menopause started around ages in the 50s.
