Inn that i just had a 5 hr conversation with a man i just met?

How long does a first friend-date normally last? 5 hours just talking at a coffee shop? Isn't that a bit..long?

I am just starting out on an opposite-sex friendship. There may or may not be any attraction. Okay fine, I'm attracted to him. I wanted to know if it was normal for co-ed friendships to start out so..intimately. I feel like our conversation he has revealed so much about his personal life. I mean it was 5 hours... INN?

Thanks :)

Sounds like my first date and multiple phone calls etc when I started seeing my husband. :)

It doesn't usually happen, so it's not normal. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it! :) If you could manage a five hour conversation with someone you just met that's a very good sign that you'd enjoy being together; go for it.

You made a connection on a personal level. What's wrong with that?

Sounds awesome. As long as he isn't a manipulator who seems to know what to say to women and how to mould and shape who they are.
But by five hours, I'd think you'd know if he was a genuine friend or not.

Just enjoy where this journey takes you. Not many can connect like that straight away, so they skip straight to connecting physically... If you know what I mean.

That's pretty long for a first date. But that's alright. It's a good sign if you didn't get bored of each other after five hours.

Sounds like how I met my husband.

We were co-workers and on my birthday one day (as I was new to town and he was the only person I knew) I called him up and borrowed my cousin's 1990 5.0L Foxbody Mustang and we went to the mall. We ended up spending hours laying on the hood of that Mustang, talking.

Just about every day after work we'd sit in his old Falcon or in my old Crown Vic and talk, sometimes for 8-10 hours, just sitting there and talking.

    Normal.

It's not terribly common, but I wouldn't call it abnormal. I've definitely made friends like that.
