Inn i'm a perfectionist regarding people

Nobody's perfect, I realise, but are there some flaws you cannot forgive in a person? If a friend, for example, annoys you in some way, are you supposed to mention it or stop being controlling or? Is it normal to be confused, and picky about who to be friends with?

Why not make friends with people dumber than yourself. It will be easier to feed your superiority complex.

    • I have done so before, but I am the same person who posted the whole hopelessness-loneliness-frustration thing around stupidity.
That should tell you all you need to know.

I think there are some flaws you can forgive. Like, for example, one of my friends likes to take my hand and shove it in a blender that is on. I would still like to be his friend.

Would someone closer to the ideal of perfection than you are even want to be your friend? I doubt it.

    • You are entirely right. If I knew how to change my ways, I would start.

If you are annoyed about it just tell them. However don't be rude about it, and if its something petty like "I hate that you pray and believe in Jesus" than that is just being intolerant. Learn the difference between being intolerant and being annoyed. Intolerant means you are annoyed by people not being exactly like you but some things are just annoying. Like if someone is chewing gum with their mouth open its okay to ask them to close their mouths. I get really irritated when people put their seat all the way back but its considered bad manners to do so. I also get annoyed when I am sitting in the back and have to leave the car to pick something up and they know this but are not considerate enough to get back up when I return so I have to squeeze between them and cant even put on my belt because they were too much of a rude jerk to leave me room.

It is so weird how we just assume we can change people. Like, they owe us a change or we owe them the favor of pointing out a fault of theirs.
