is it normal to want my husband back whom I've been with for the last 22 years of my life,& married to for the last 17 years after I found out he cheated on me with his ex ex-ex(not the girlfriend he was with before me, but the girlfriend before that girlfriend)whom he dated a short time when he was a teenager,& he's now 41 yrs. old. girlfriend a couple months ago,& whom he's still seeing ocassionally,& i'm sure talks to her daily either on the phone,&, or texting.

    I really hope for you that he comes back. Some men lose themselves at some point in their lives just to realise that what they need they already had. Your reaction is that of a wife who wants to save her marriage whatever and I admire you for that. Those days people tend to let go so easily.

    I say you start looking for someone else STAT. Criagslist it, or get a friend to set up a blind date. He doesn't sound like he's putting any effort into the relationship. I think you should actively try to find someone new

      well that could be part of the reason, but i think mainly because we made a commitment to be together forever,I love him, I have nothing to look forward to when 6:00 PM comes now(when he used to get home from work)& because I just can't imagine my life w/out him.

        That book will inspire and comfort you in this time. My husband cheated on me about a year before we got married. I found out shortly before we got married, which made it worse. My situation was different since he wanted to stay together and work it out. In that book, the husband wanted to leave his wife for the girlfriend. Hope that helps!

          he wanted to leave his wife, but he didnt you mean? my eye sight is not good so i don't think i could read the book, too bad it wasn't made into a movie!

          have you read this book? because according to the title it sounds like the story is going to be from her point of view like she's the 1 telling it, but in part of the description it sounded like he was telling it,& the only bad thing is it sounds like they get back together,& so i'd prob. start seeing myself,& my husband as the cpl. in the book & be impatient we weren't getting back together, or disappointed if we never did, if that makes sense.

    Most people 'cheat' at one time or another.
    You will need to speak with him, either directly or indirectly about it.
    Yes, it's normal to want him back, but does he want to come back to you?

      no he doesn't want me back, I think it's because he's fallen in love w/ his new girlfriend, or rather old girlfriend, & she's much prettier,& physically abler than i am,& has a good job.
