In case the building burns down

Whenever I'm storing my things, I always keep the thought in the back of my mind that one day the building might burn down and I'll have to grab what I can and get out. So I try to keep my important things together in a form of storage that can be easily carried. And then sometimes I review in my head what my plan of action would be if I had to suddenly evacuate – what I'd grab and if I'd be able to carry it all. Is it normal to think about this when organizing stuff??

I'm also compulsively minimalistic in how much stuff I own, because I always think I'll have to move soon.

Normal. I plan for a zombie attack when I store things. Beleive it or not thats normal. Your just thinking ahead, I'd say it's more smart than it is weird. If/When your house burns down, just remember how smart you are that you have things ready.

This is normal. I always think someone is going to break in my apartment so i always take my "COACH" purse with me. I love my purse.

I'm the same way about thinking of the building catching on fire... or getting robbed, or something. So yeah I'm always prepared, and i also don't own a whole lot of stuff. Also, I make sure to back everything up on my hard drives. Gotta be prepared!!
