I need to make up an imaginary boyfriend so that my friends stop trying to set me up with random guys.

Anyway, what things do I need to memorize in order not to get stuck in a lie?

Please no bullshit comments about how I'm beautiful and a real guy would like me and all that. Yeah, I know I'm "beautiful" but let's just stick to my topic.

What things do I need to memorize about the imaginary boyfriend? Where can I say that I met him? Obviously I can't say met him through any friends cuz that wouldn't work out. I also can't say online because my friends know I would never meet a guy from online.

    Maybe you met him in a coffee shop. Maybe he came over and started talking to you and you gave him his number. The rest is history and now you're keeping your "casual dating" on the DL. Maybe you're busy getting down with "Ted" and you'll have to miss the next "ladies night."

    And why lie? Can't your friends accept you don't have a boyfriend and are probably still looking for one?

    Cause, to be honest this type of lie is a bit pathetic.
    If your friends are really your friends, they'd accept the truth and not give you any trouble.

    Not trying to be a dick here. Just how I was raised. Lying is bad. Not just for your friends, but also for you. Cause you might fool somebody, but you will never fool yourself.
    Lying - bad, unless it's business lies... then profit baby!

    Why do you feel the need to do this? Just tell your friends you don't want them hooking you up with anybody. I'm not interested in dating somebody I don't know either. Some people are but they will just have to accept you don't want to do that.

    Make up a story!Just like writting a book! Write down about him, like a profile! Write down how he looks(eye color,hair color, height,weight, skin, etc), what he does(salesman, doctor,student,firemen, whatever you like), where he's from and all that stuff! Then hide these papers somewhere only you know xD

      It would only be for 2 months. Then, I'm going on 3 week vaca and I'll conveniently break up with the imaginary boyfriend. I just need to buy some time.

        Ok tell them u met this guy at the book store he was reading ur fav book or you were reading his and you two started talking about it and he asked you out for coffee or lunch.
