Images flash in my head

Every now and then no matter what I'm doing, images of myself will flash through my head. I don't really know how to explain it as its very random. Sometimes I will be sitting at school or wherever and then suddenly I will see myself at home watching tv on the couch for just a fraction of a second and then ill be back to normal. It's kind of like an out of body experience, but in a different location. Sometimes i see myself driving from the passenger seat or sleeping in my bed. It's completely random but only lasts maybe a tenth of a second. Do I have some kind of psychological problem? Am I just zoning out for less than a second?

    Could you be sleep deprived? I've heard a coping mechanism called "microsleep" where the brain shuts down for a split second over and over when someone is chronically fatigued. I suppose if you're asleep for a split second then you could dream. Just a hunch but probably worth looking into.
