so my girlfriend is pregnant im in my 20s and she is in her 40s it wasn't planned but it happened, now im happy at the thought of being a father but im worried that the baby might have some problems. I've heard that the older a women is there is a high chance of some kind of defect I will still love the baby regardless but its depressing to think about. is this normal?

Its normal to feel anxious about it but your girlfriend is still young and I know some mommy's still try to be pregnant at 45.

My mother had me at 46 or 47. I've never had any serious health problems. The possibility was real, but it didn't happen in my case.
