Im late! help!

Hi I am a young female who's period had been late fore 11 month straight. I've asked few friends if its normal around 8 months late and they said it was normal. Now 11 months have gone by and I need to know what happening. I've thought that I've had PCOS, but I wasn't completely fully sure if I have it. Keep in mind that I am a virgin. IS IT NORMAL? HELP!

You may want to check with your doctor. I know a young woman who has a pituitary tumor that made her body think it was pregnant....even lactating. No period....bigger breasts and gained weight - go to the DOCTOR!!!

You really need to see a gynaecologist or endocrinologist. If you're basing your assumption of PCOS purely off periods, it may be something completely different (unless there are other symptoms you just haven't listed).

I put off getting a proper diagnosis til I was in my early 20s. I really regret not doing something sooner.

I don't even think 8 months of missing your period is normal..
I would definitely go to the doctor, it could be something very minor like hormone imbalances and they put you on the pill but it could also be something serious. Please please go to the doctor right away.

    How old are you?

A quick google search will tell you that after three months it is absent, not late. It even has a term, amenorrhea. Look it up, or better yet, have your mom take you to the doctor.

Wouldn't this be a question better asked of your gynecologist? duh. 11 months and you haven't seen a doctor? Swift.
