Has he shown any psychotic behaviour or just announced he's psychotic? If he's always been well-behaved and continues to do so then it's just a label which changes nothing apart from your expectations of him.
Ask him more. Psychosis takes many forms.
Learn what words mean before you use them too. That one's handy for life in general.
Sometimes men say those things for attention or to make an excuse for bad behavior. Is he actually diagnosed with a mental disability? If he isn't, then maybe you should suggest he seek that. If he is, then if you love him a lot and want to stay with him then do some research, seek counseling, and come up with a plan to support him.
hi !! i would really like to help you on this !! can you elaborate on the situation?
Psychotic = experiencing hallucinations, delusions, and/or impairments in thinking and speech.
Psychopath = does not experience empathy.
They're quite different. People who experience psychosis typically have schizophrenia, bipolar, or a related mental health condition, and can manage their psychosis with medication and stress-management.
Psychopathy is what's now called Antisocial Personality Disorder, and is associated with problems with anger and impulse control. People with this condition often run into issues with the law. However, not experiencing empathy doesn't necessarily mean that they're a bad person -- if someone has good coping mechanisms and a strong moral code, they can still live a good life, even if it isn't based on empathy.
Just make sure that he doesn't use his issues as an excuse to be a jerk to you or others. Be supportive of him if he wants to get help for his issues, but don't take on all his problems as your responsibility.
