ok so as u knwo african americans( even though im caribean...) have realy corse hair, but i really want a fauxhawk . so im growing it out then chemicaly straitening it .
so here are a few conserns i have , if i straitn it can i get it wet or not ? and will my hair f**k up if i do wash or straiten it ?
and is this disire normal or not ?
I think its normal to want different hair..as a black girl I have chemically straightened my hair...when it gets wet it gets a kind of strange poofy -_-. and straightening depending on the person sometimes damages your hair.
Go for it! I don't even think that you have to straighten it. You could have it like a fro-hawk. If you do straighten it with chemicals, you should be able to get your hair wet without it frizzing up. Then again, I've never had my hair chemically straightened so, personally I don't know. I know that if you straighten it with heat, that more than likely, water will make it frizz back up. You can naturally straighten it but, I don't know how the water factor would come in. Good luck.
Fauxhawks are easier with ur hair actually, it stands up without use of product no ? When you straighten it it's guna fall or something so you're going to have to use gel and stuff

of course you can get a fauxhawk, a lot of black people get fauxhawks without straitening their hair. do whatever the fk you want to your hair. no one is gonna stop you.
