Im almost only attracted to celebrities

Im almost only attracted to celebrities. Not because theyre more attractive or anything, I kinda have a goofy, unconventional taste in men overall.
I dont know why its mostly celebrities for me and fictional characters in shows.I know i'm obviously asexual since ive refused to have sex with everyone ive dated out of it being gross and unnecessary even when i've felt attracted to that person because my attraction is merely on a romantic level, not sexual. Though for some celebrities and even fictional characters I get sexual urges towards them. At least I think its sexual attraction, ive thought ive felt that for people ive dated though and turns out I was wrong as when they kissed me I was like ew gross lol. Though I feel what I feel much more strongly for celebrities and fictional characters. If I like a guy irl and find him attractive I always liken him to a celebrity I find very attractive even if they dont even actually resemble each other that much I always find similarities and that makes me more drawn to the guy.

Look up different asexual spectrum identities, it’s not exactly what you’re describing but “aegosexual” is the term for someone who can enjoy watching other people masterbate or have sex with each other but the arousal vanishes once they them-self are involved. “Lithosexual” is someone who experiences sexual attraction but doesn’t want it reciprocated.

Remember that sexuality can be complex and there’s no rush to label yourself, especially if you’re still figuring it out.

They’re just specific terms to help people understand their feelings. They’re not applicable to the vast majority of people but are helpful for some. If my LGBTQ+ research has taught me anything it’s that sexual and romantic attraction can be far more complicated than what we’re told.

They understand less and less and the terms are causing them extra confusion they likely didn’t have to begin with.

It’s true that it’s possible to overwhelm and confuse oneself with terminology, however in this case OP is already confused about their sexuality and have been told they’re only 20% normal, so I think some research into more detailed terminology could be beneficial.

I’ve observed people hear a term and then apply it out of some want to have a label without actually fitting the term before they knew of it.

Every second person I meet is “bi-polar”, when they have the most mild of behaviours, it’s just silly.

Many people use these terms as identity crutches, excuses, attention getters and so on.
