Im an asian.. who's afraid of asians. It isnt like I hate them or anything, just that i feel they'll judge me because Im dont speak korean well, and since I live in koreatown most of the asians are korean. Im a rather chubby person, and I get nervous when a stick thin asian is near me..normal??

    I suggest you find out the truth of what other Koreans in your neighbourhood think of you immediately. Have a poll, go door to door... something! You must know! I'm sure they will be of differing opinions. Some of your fear may be justified.

    You would be surprised at how much they would accept you just for the fact that you're Korean. I know this sounds messed up, but if I meet another Viet guy, we usually always end up being friends because of our commonality. I don't care about what he looks like or if he was born in the US or if he speaks Vietnamese well. Just that common bond helps.

    So, don't be so down on yourself. Have some confidence.
