ok so im 18.i really want to kiss a guy, but im really scared to.i think about the whole situation to much. for example:i always think about where i should put my lips, how much i should lean in, scared ill be really bad, what if he uses tounge...i just keep freaking out.I went out with this guy for a month. when he leaned in to kiss me i freaked out and ever since then i just keep freaking out.after a month we broke up because i just wouldnt hookup. all of my friends tell me about their love lives and what they are doing, and i really really want to have that feeling and know what its like. BUT THIS STUPID FEAR WONT GO AWAY!!!!

    Could it be that the trouble you%%u2019re having is not with kissing a boy but accepting who you are as an individual. By not kissing you are declaring yourself to be different than your peers who are kissing. I believe that when you find value in %%u201Cwho you are%%u201D and put less value on %%u201Cwhat they think%%u201D, the problem of whether to kiss or not to kiss will be less or no problem at all. Kiss when you are ready and not when you think others think you should. It is a very wonderful thing to be you.

    Just relax. If you get too worried you will only mess up. Try to find a guy you like who kinda feels the same way. I mean I know it's hard, but if you pick a guy who has ton's of experience it will only make you more afraid too try to be as good as him on your first try. The first kiss is always the worst. It's kinda like riding a bike. You don't just get on and ride away. You learn like all your other classmate's did. And who cares if you are 18, there is no exact time to have a first kiss.

    What's the best thing to do about fear? Face your fear! Get it over with even if you're nervous and shaking! You'll find that it's not that bad, and the first try is scariest.

    Hello there,

    The first thing I would like to ask is: what exactly are you afraid of? Are you jsut afraid of where to position your lips and stuff? One easy thing to do is to practice with a mirror when you're all alone, or with a shower head in the shower. Everyone will eventually have a first time, no one was born an expert, you just go and do it!

      hahaha.....iv had some friends actually tell me this. lol. im noy exactly sure what the fear is. it may be that im just not ready to be with guys yet.i may still be kind of timid, to let my self go and be with someone.

    It's normal. Get a good book on body language and you should learn the protocols of love. Make sure your breath smells nice,etc.

    its normal i had trouble kissing girls till i met alice (now my wife) so yeah just meet a guy who suits you and just kiss him on a date kissing is easier with some one like you

    Just put your top lip on top of his bottom lip nd your bottom lip should be under his bootom lip and he should catch on from there

    next time you get a man and he leans in to kiss just do it. best way to take away the fear is to go head first.

    i think in your case and in many others, it's just a case of getting on and blimmin well doin it. next time the opportunity arises, take it! dammit!
