Is it normal when my legs get numb i cant move and its extremely painful

When i get numb from sitting crossed legged or just in a weird way and i sit up or un-cross my legs to get the feeling back it hurts extremely bad like a soreness that goes through my whole body and a sensitive vibrating feeling where if i move even the littlest bit, even breating hurts, if someone tries to sit next to me or touch me i have to stop them and i CANNOT walk at all i have to lean on something or stay completely still until it goes away. i havnt noticed anyone else with this problem, do i have a blod clot o something? :/

Pins and needles. They exist to remind one not to sit on the loo reading IIN polls.

I'm sure it will be better when you get old.

If the sensation is similar to when you hit your funny bone, the nerve in you elbow, REALLY hard, and your arm or forehead feels like its reverberating [you can't move it for a few seconds]; it's time to see a neurologist.

If the feeling is light/moderate then it's perfectly normal, but if your leg is going so numb it's dead (and this happens often)...uh...you could be developing an autoimmune disease. I don't want to scare you, because sometimes flukes happen, but for some people this is an early symptom. I hope you call up your physician and ask for a referral, because it's better to get an MRI and be safe, than ignore it for 10 years and suddenly lose control of your legs.

Yeah, I know the feeling you're talking about. You get it when your leg is trying to 'wake up', right? Heavy numbness in your limbs is only normal if it's really rare. By autoimmune, I meant demyelinating diseases. The only time I've felt this kind of sensation is during an exacerbation (bc I have MS) or when I hit my elbow in the perfect spot. Don't get scared because you could be perfectly healthy, but you have to be cautious; what your experiencing is neurologic and absolutely needs to be checked out. Don't listen to people that tell you this symptom is no big deal and you shouldn't see a doctor, I can guarantee you they don't know what the fuck they're talking about. If you see a neurologist or physician that refuses to do any testing because you only have one symptom or "you seem perfectly healthy to me, besides you're young", find another one.
