Is it normal when i really like something, i don't want anyone else to like it?

Hello! So I don't know if this is normal or if it's just me, but when I like something (anything) a lot, I don't want anyone else to start liking that thing too! I feel a sort of ownership towards it, and it's like I want to keep it all to myself.

I know most people will want to share these kinds of things with their friends, because if you like it this much then they probably will too. But I don't want anyone else to like it. If it's a singer, for example, I know I should be supporting him by spreading the word, but I really don't want anyone else to fangirl over him like I do, so I'll make sure to NEVER mention him ever, and to never post anything related to him on any social media.

I just want to like the things I like in private and be the only one I know that likes them. However, I do like finding other people who like the same things, as long as they were already a fan before I was. So I'll look up forums online and meet people with the same interest so we can talk about those things. But I wouldn't dare talk about them to anyone that isn't already a fan.

Does anyone else do this or am I just weird?

    The worst part is when someone you know just found out about something you absolutely adore in secret, then goes around telling everyone about it and how they discovered it and much they love it, yada yada.

    Possessiveness was my downfall, so I ended up outgrowing this habit but perhaps for the worst. Now I can not care less about anything, nor do I take anything seriously.
