Is it normal when i laugh at my mother when she's mad at me?

So I'm a 20 year old loser who still lives with his mom. We are really close and have fun together but sometimes my mom gets really mad at me cause I just live for free at her house and hardly do anything to help her. So she starts complaining that she has to go to work and do everything but I just sit at home doing nothing. Everytime she does this I laugh, which causes her to almost cry cause she thinks I laugh at her pain and that makes me laugh even harder. Even though I feel bad for her thinking like that and wouldn't want to laugh but I just can't help it.

You laughing is probably your own way of dealing with the harsh reality that she's right. That you really are a 20-year-old loser who lives with his mom and has no job and no aspirations to be anything more than that. And you know that it's hurting your mom, and you care about her, so that also hurts you. You've failed the one person who invested her entire life in you.

You can't say or do anything in defense of yourself in these situations, so you just do your best to dissociate yourself from it. Because to cry along with her instead of laugh would be an open admission that she is absolutely right, and that's just too much for your ego to bear.

Maybe some day the ego will break, and you will actually cry along with her, and that will be the turning point in your life.

Laughing is your way of telling her to fuck off, and if you ask me, you are absolutely right in doing so. Read your first sentence and look at how she's making you feel. What the fuck, who ever said you are supposed to make it on your own at 20 or else be a loser, as if it was so easy these days?. Everything is too expensive, the world economy is on crisis, wages are way too low. In my country at least, the only way for a young adult who has nothing, to support himself without any aid from anyone, is to work 45 - 50 hours a week and settle for doing nothing but surviving. Fuck those asshole expectations, like "at this age you must do this, at that age you must do that" and all that bullshit. All the settlers I know who have obeyed to that ended up with careers they hate, with wives they hate, and overall with lives they hate. Everything just in order to do things at the age they were expected to do them and not put sad faces on their moms like you are. Fuck that shit, you'll figure out what's best for you eventually. Or not, who ever said life implies a duty of fulfillment? You'll make the best of your life if you want, not because you have to. So fuck everything.

I laugh when people get angry, or when I try to act angry. I don't know why.
You sound like a prick, btw.

Last night my mom was crying and talking about how she felt, and she looked so heart broken, my reaction? A big smile trying not to laugh.
I felt so bad for her, in yet a smile and laugh came over me. What the fuck is up with that?

If you guys are usually really close, and joke around with each other, it's normal for you to laugh when she's angry, IF it's because you simply find it funny.

If you're laughing because you know it's going to get her angry, it's also normal, just kind of pathetic.

You're mean. (Although I think it's quite normal to still live with your mum at the age of 20 here)

Here it's normal to live with your parents until you get married. A 20 year old is considered very young here.

I also have to laugh when people get angry at me. I have the annoying 'talent' to laugh at the most inappropriate moments.
