Is it normal went to chiropractor really sore but can move neck

have neck shoulder pain some of it is a stressful living situation I am trying to get out of and some of it is from hauling a four year old everywhere...pain is worse when I am stressed. I had a dislocated shoulder and a huge lump in my neck. I can move better and less pain when I am driving. But shoulders still are really sore can move my neck and it is no longer stiff. he also said I was really dehydrated I have been craving water LIKE CRAZY. Any one else have any experience with this

    My father was an orthopedist and he said chiropractors were very bad because they treated the symptoms not the cause. The immediate relief is real enough, but without a real medical doctor, with something physical like bones and joints, the problem would always reoccur and progressively get worse.
    Just saying.
