Is it normal users! what were you like as a teenager?

I think a lot of the users ARE teenagers.

A pretentious, nilihistic, attention seeking prick, I had a really, really shitty home life so when I was out of that really oppressive atmosphere I wanted to get attention but at the same time was half over confident and half insecure due to the home life so I ended up acting out, I'd be loud, over the top and take things too far, partly because I wanted to be heard and partly because if I make lots of noise and try to be funny I won't have to have any actually deep conversations that would alert people to the side of me that was created through an abusive household.
It could be good or bad attention, pity, comedy, mutual respect of music literally anything, which would often lead me to lying, I was a big liar back then, you know how sometimes you'll be drifting off to sleep and a memory comes back to you that makes you cringe? ( maybe its just me ) well the whole of year 9 and 10 of high school is one of those memories , luckily I pulled my shit together, or maybe i'm just unaware of my current dickishness like I was back then, still, I'm glad I'm not that person anymore, a lot has changed since then :)

Oh my...as a teenager? I had bright red/pink/orange hair...did a bunch of thrift store shopping...religiously went to concerts at the fireside bowl on weeknights, especially alkaline trio and hot water music band...smoked whatever I could because I thought it was awesome, committed petty crimes...shoplifting, vandalism, threw a lot of parties, had a lot of friends, class clowned it up, in spite of good grades, scored a full ride to college, still didn't care, thought I was committed to liberal causes that I knew nothing about, when full veg, read Bakunin and thought I was an anarchist...

It was fun, wouldn't trade it for the world, but I've grown up since then; although I haven't grown out of all of it...

Ehh.. I don't change. I even look 14 still and act it. It seems like i'm the only one here that's an antisocial, strange, introverted "otaku" believes their married to a fictional character, and that most people avoided and probably thought I'd be a serial killer in the future.

According to my Mother, so I must have been.

Fat, solipsistic, arrogant, self mutilating, metal loving, hopeless romantic.

I was aggressive, stupid and pretty scared.

I was arrogant, argumentative, book smart, competitive, rude and self-centred. I was quite involved in the school's fencing team so that pretty much qualified me as a "cool kid".

I also had this huge fear of getting drunk and saying/doing something so stupid that it'd tarnish my reputation. I knew my family was particularly prone to getting intoxicated. So, whenever I went to parties I just sipped one cup throughout the entire night.

Basically I was that self-assured asshole in honours class who'd point out a mistake in your assignment five minutes before you're due to hand it in.

Needless to say, I left high school with a pretty report card, a number of awards for academia and sports - and no meaningful friendships. I spent too many years on a high horse.

I was one of those kids that it was really cool to be "emo". It was so disgusting. I also acted really crazy and sexual for attention. I hate my teenage self.

My parents were REALLY strict.

I never was allowed sweets and I had to earn my own money, sometimes they would take my money because "they need it more".
Though my mother was really close to me, it's just she didn't have much respect for my personal belongings and believed in all-healthy foods.

I was bookish, and absolutely addicted to anime and everything Japanese. (still am). Since my parents were so strict I had to do shit in secret. Like, I'd ask to go to the library and actually sneak off to buy junk food which I would hide under books. I would also scrape off tiny bits of ice-cream every now and then from my moms peanut butter ice-cream (it sounds gross, but trust me, it's the best..) and I would use my moms credit card to buy a lot of shit.

I remember I had a LOT of friends, but then I was brought into homeschool. I was really unenthusiastic and I had to do all the work by myself in a room without any help. I usually cheated, learnt nothing, and just watched anime all day.

So by the time I actually wanted to learn things, and when I was going back to normal school, I always put myself down for being stupid even though I'm sure I was pretty smart. I also ate a lot of junk food that I snuck off to get, but I never got fat lol. I made money, at first, by selling hotdogs and bracelets to people. But when I was home schooled I walked dogs and babysat.

I loved children and dogs and I was really good with them, and I loved Japanese and Italian food.

I hated cats more than I hated Christians.

I always went to my friends house, because her mom was a baker and she would give me things like pavlova, cake, laming tons and sweet rolls.. bless her heart :')

I was popular... not in the way like I was popular cheer captain lol... but in a way as I was well known and liked.
I was friendly and nice to just about everyone... this is something my bf told me is one of the reasons he was attracted to me. I treated everyone well.
I was outgoing and pretty social but still enjoyed alone time playing video games.
I occasionally went to a party or two but never drank.

I was very much the artist then as I am now. I would even make little stick comics for my friends. (｡･ω･)

I enjoyed being relied on and involved myself in extra school stuff. I would stay after school working on side projects for the school... such as jewelry box design... poster design... certificate design.... homecoming t-shirt design for the teachers. .. and trusted to handle and transportation of school money.

I wouldnt put up with peoples crap including teachers. :P

I didn't have a beer belly. I went to the gym at least 2-3 times a week. I was sometimes a bit of a dick to people.
I spent a lot more time playing games on my pc.
When I was 16 I chugged down massive amounts of alcohol, due to my mum's health problems and my grandparents dying off 2 years back. When my mum got really sick, all was too much. I was pretty much angry at everyone other than my parents. Even got into several fights at school. Someone angers me, I lash out. And I found comfort in drinking. Thankfully everything got resolved in about 5 months and I reverted to being a normal human being and had my first serious relationship with a girl. A year later we broke up
I always spent a month on summer breaks to help out my dad in the office.
Nearing 18 I got together with my 2nd big love XD
A girl who was the class know it all. I used to hate her, but I found that she is kinda hot.
When I turned 18 and got my drivers license I wasn't responsible. I would drive like an ass. Got stopped in my mums Subaru doing 140kmh in a 60kmh zone. But due to the police officer being a good friend of our family and being a high ranking member of the police, he let me go. Needless to say my parents lectured me. Then I "calmed down" my driving style. But that didn't stop me from doing donuts in the school yard with a girl's 316 BMW, or doing burnouts in another girl's VW Passat XD. But most teens do stupidities with cars so...
I've always had good grades. B's and A's, (5 and 6, 6 being A+, 2 being F from where I'm from) even tho I don't bury my nose in textbooks. School in the balkans is easy.
I left school with lots of friends, deeply in love with a now ex-girlfriend, very good report card, honors for best grades in english and german in school.

But yeah, pretty much had a normal teen-life. I only highlighted the more interesting bits.
I can even say that I was spoiled.
Had the best phones, had an I-pod, had a gaming rig that now can't play anything better than GTA IV... XD
But I never acted like a spoiled brat - I hate that.
