The trolls on this page are annoyong. They post these bogus stories/comments that are clearly attempts to troll. This website has a great format for people with legit questions/stories and I think it's lame that people (probably kids) are ruining it. Do you guys like trolls?

I don't mind trolls as long as they are funny and use proper English (unless improper English makes it funnier). The problem is that everyone thinks they are funny when in fact they are only "saying something gross". I suspect most are young and/or stupid.
I don't understand what is wrong with creating troll stories. Every time I create a troll story it's like uh-oh sound the alarm! This site is supposed to be about comedy for the most part. Do you assholes not see that? Do people on here really lack that much of a sense of humor?
But yes, I don't appreciate the trolls that go around spamming the site. There's a reason why they're doing it though. It's because the people on this site decided that they didn't like some benign thing they did at some point and chose to persecute them. Now they're coming back and wreaking havoc. Nice job.
This site could really be kind of a metaphor for what's going on in the world right now with all these fucking terrorists everywhere seeking retribution.
No it isn't supposed to be about comedy for the most part, that is just what you would like it to be about. The rules of the site clearly say that fake stories are not allowed. I don't understand why people come to this site that has such rules, and complain when their creative writing peices are rejected. Why don't you just take them to the thousands of other sites on the internet that welcome creative writing, many of which have more users to enjoy them, and post them there?
Fuck what the rules say. The speed limit may say 35 mph, but the actual speed of traffic is going 45. The rules don't mean shit. Especially when we have an absentee moderator who doesn't give a rat's ass. People on here have the biggest sticks up their asses I've ever seen. And..It's not about comedy? It seems to me that even the people who post real stories often try to make them pretty funny. What about people's user names? Are those not based in comedy? Certainly not Anonymous-Poll-Creator. That's for sure. But half of the others are. Excuse me sir, but you don't know what you're talking about.
Your the one who doesn't know what you are talking about which is why your response makes no sence. The rules say the stories must be true, it doesn't say the user names must be real names. So the correlation you are trying to draw there simply doesn't exist.
I never said the stories are not allowed to be funny, I said the stories are supposed to be true. You are complaining about your troll posts being taken down. Troll posts are generally not true stories, and they don't get a pass under the rules simply for being funny. The rules allow funny stories as long as they are true. But the stated purpose of the website says nothing about humor being the sites purpose.
Also, it is funny to me that you complain about an absentee moderator when your complaing about your posts being moderated off the site. If the moderator was absentee, your stories would never be taken down. It seems like your real issue is not that the moderator is absentee, but that you simply don't agree wirh their decosions. But its not your site it's theirs, if you don't like it, too bad.
But you made my whole point when you said at the very beginning "fuck the rules". You don't get to decide how strictly rules get enforced. If you break a rule, and you know you are breaking a rule, it is silly to sit there and whine about it.
I have broke the rules myself many times myself, and I have enjoyed a few post's that broke the rules. The difference is I understand the possible coniquences of my actions, and so I don't whine when something gets taken down. I also don't try to justify my own bull shit by saying I'm better than some other trolls cause I am funny and not mean.
All I am saying is we are adults here and we should act that way. If you break tje rules and you get caught, don't whine like a child, suck it up like an adult.
When did I ever say that the names have to be real? And also I told you that even though there are rules, it's obvious that a large faction of people aren't interested in following them. The moderator is absentee, so it's left up to a handful of very uptight regular users to regulate the site by constantly thumbing people down and reporting posts for reasons that are often against the rules. That's why I say fuck the rules; because they went out the window a long time ago.
I think people on this site should stop being so uptight all the time and accept that there are going to be trolls and users that they may find offensive, but that doesn't mean they should gang up and go around reporting and abusing the comment karma system. The only action that should be taken is against the spammers of the site. If other users want to speak their mind in the comments section and post a couple fake stories once in a while then what's the difference?
Probably most people go on here because it's more entertaining and interactive than tv. God help them if they actually come in here for advice pertaining to their problems.
I know you didn't say the names have to be real, that is exactly why your comparison doesn't work. You said if the stories can't be funny, then why can the screen names be funny? What I said was the stories can be funny, they just have to be true. That is why your comparison doesn't work.
What you explained about moderation is wrong. The stories are not moderated by a few regulars. You clearly don't understand how this works so I will explain it. If enough users report a post it is not removed, it just goes to awaiting moderation. While it is there, you can't see it on the list, but it is still active, and the OP can access it from their profile. After a couple days or so, a moderator reviews the post. If they agree it is bad, it s deleted, if they think it is good, they return it to the top of the list. It is a moderator that makes that call, not other users.
So the only way a post can get deleted is if a moderator believes it should be. Every single user on the site can report your post, but it doesn't mean a thing if the moderator doesn't agree. You are wasting your time blaming users, the mod is making the final call, and the mod couldn't do that if they were absent. This is all explained on thr sites FAQ. Also, if users report posts and the mod disagrees and reposts it, the karma of the reporters goes down. What many OP's do though is they delete the post when it gets flagged which prevents the mod from having a chance to do their job. Of you do that, you really can't blame the mod, because you are the one that cut them out of the equation.
It doesn't matter if people are interested in following the rules or not, the site still has a right to enforce them. So like I said, if you are willfully disregarding the rules, you shouldn't be surprised when you get deleted. You know you broke a rule, so you know why you got deleted. Act like an adult and take the consequences, don't act like a child and whine.
I'm honestly indifferent to it. Since I have been here it has been up and down. Things change they always do.
I actually enjoy a talented and creative troll. What I don't like are the ones who are just plain hate-filled simpletons who are here to bitch about people with different skin color, sexuality, or belittle others.. I don't get it...why do they feel the need to act like assholes?
I don't believe they hate anyone/anything. I think they get off of the exploitation of another users denial, they don't care nor want to change a person's views but simply pick at them to death... and by god their account being disabled multiple times is proof of their effectiveness at this. Go to a website SlutHate upload your pic and have them rate you 1/10, I did. They're remorselessly honest incels that know their shit and there's no sign up required. Give it a try because that gut aingh flying buddy someone had to say something...
Just report their posts and get them deleted. The trolls are likely one or two people with multiple accounts and no job.
I concur, those idiots who cannot give meaningful feedback on a issue should keep their lame opinions to themselves!

There have always been trolls on here, man. Sometimes there's more trolls than serious contributors and so it seems like there's more than usual.
The site is already dying down though.
