Is it normal to wonder why medicine ignores the real cause of things?

A couple of examples.

They blame impotence on things like diabetes, lack of exercise, smoking, and whatever.
How come medical reports never say the truth which is that the man in question might just have some ugly, unfuckable partner? Or he is perhaps tired of the same partner?
Bring in a swimsuit model and see just how "impotent" he is.

Another one is how they mass diagnose kids with ADHD or autism or whatever it is called now. How come they don't just admit that it is mostly bad parenting and how sometimes kids just need a good ass beating?

"Difficulty concentrating at work or in school" is a symptom of just about everything under the sun. Must be diabetes, smoking, cancer, AIDS, bad nutrition, an ingrown pubic hair, or something. NoooOOO... work and school are just boring as hell. That is why it is called "work". It is so bad that they have to pay people to do it.

But no, Mr. Average goes to a boring job, comes home to an ugly wife and rotten kids (who do poor in school). There must be some medical explanation instead of the truth.

WHAT do you think?

    Take a deep breath - O/P

Sounds like you had a bad day, or got up "on the wrong side"...

I certainly hope you're not this "cheerful" every day !!

It's called spicing it up every once in a while. I fully expect by the time I'm 70 to be full into BDSM and pegging.

Ok - you do seem to be iterated.. the relationshi between a doctors “instant diagnosis and pharmaceutical treatment” are real. Parents are largely to blame regardless. I know when I lived in some far away places like,Most of Europe and Africa, nearly the entire population of some places had nearly zero cases of DIABETES, ADHD, and many other so called diseases treated with lifelong ingestion of descriptions, - however, blaming parents or society is not the best approach for resolving this obvious - harmful and deadly disease ridden society with disease caused b society it pretends to help is dubious. Sure you can handout bumper stickers that remind parents what causes diabetes etc, and to quit stuffing their children with crap food and turn off the tv, but even then you might be up against a society unable to process the information. When I moved from a small Mediterranean island to Ca., I went from 125lbs to 175 lbs - in 2 months I quickly learned how poorly Americans eat!

I do agree about the autism and ADHD, but not the impotence. This reminds me of an article I saw about how , in the future, 1 in 2 kids will have autism. At that point, does autism even mean anything?

    • Autism doesn't mean anything today. Just another excuse for doctors to sell medication.
