Is it normal to wonder if people actually like you for you and not your humor?

So I have many good traits I am- kind, caring, nice, honest, reliable and many others but my best trait is my sense of humour, I love making people laugh and I seem to easily do without even having to say much. I do wonder though, if people/friends actually only like me because I'm a clown and someone to laugh at or with...I feel that without my stupidity and amusing demeanor I wouldn't have many people want to spend time with me. is it normal to feel/think this and is it true? Does anyone else feel this way?

I feel that way sometimes. I think they would like you anyway, even without your humor :)

Jim Carey is experiencing this. I find humor in everything. When life got harder i found humor in those stories too but my friends saw it as a cry for help and dont find me fun anymore. They started to try to use me. I fell for it because i cared for them ....never got any thanks or pay offs. But its cool. I think it was Gods way in moving me to higher ground

If someone likes you because you are funny they LIKE YOU.
