Is it normal to wonder how to look at person with a lazy eye when speaking?

Is it normal to be confused about how to look at someone you are talking to if they have a lazy eye? I have spoke with a few people in my life that have a lazy eye or a crooked eye. It always makes me uncomfortable talking to them because I like to make eye contact when I talk with someone. I'm not sure how to look at them. Do I look at their "good" eye or their "bad" eye? Or do I avoid eye contact all together. The last thing I want is to make them embarrassed or hurt their feelings, so I end up so confused. is it normal to be confused on how to make eye contact with a person that has a lazy eye or other noticeable eye problem?

p.s.
Does anyone know the correct etiquette for this?

The proper etiquette for talking to a lazy eye person is to look at the top point of their nose.

    You are welcome

    • Thanks. It really was an honest question. Your suggestion was very helpful. It really looks like I am looking them straight in the eyes without the feeling that I'm making them feel awkward.
