Is it normal to want trump to win even though im a liberal?

I have always been a liberal thinking individual. I supported Obama, Clinton and gay marriage, but with all the PC nonsense going on recently President Trump is beginning to sound pretty good to me.

Every week it seems as if some there bogus new consent law is passed in another state blurring the lines between yes and no, and after all the years of watching the news im tired of hearing about "heightened racial tensions" when in gods name is there not racial tension according to the news!? and lets not forget to add its always in some godforsaken rust belt state that i wouldn't want to touch with a twelve pole. And Starbucks really? are some snow flakes on a Christmas cup gonna offend someone? is it just a contest now of who can make the most sterile nonthreatening environment for all the SJWs? ugh its just keeps getting more and more ridiculous each year, once we hit the point of equality for all we are supposed to stop, not keep going until grass has its own set of rights.

I feel like Trump is the only person left who can stop this nonsense and put this country back on track. He speaks logic commonsense and though it may hurt a little because of his deep conservatism, think he may be the one who stops all of this PC BS and gets up back on the real issues. Hes even quite handsome and im straight, he is everything this country needs and he has such power.

  • Trump does not have "deep conservatism". He has changed parties 5 times in the last 30 years. He has supported gun control and abortion, and only changed these views when he decided to run for the Republican nomination. He has expressed his support as recently as this year for universal health systems in other countries and said they are a great thing as long as they are properly managed. He has even said Oprah Winfrey would be top Vice President pick for himself.

Trump is not a Conservative, he is not a Republican. Trump is simply using the Republican party because he needs a major party line to actually have a chance of winning, due to the Electoral College system. The Republican ticket is the better choice because it is easier to win in a crowded field, than again 1 or 2 strong candidates, because it requires fewer votes.

When he formed an exploratory committee to run for President for the 2000 election as an independent, he quickly learned that a 3rd party candidate has virtually no chance. Because for anyone that understands how the Electoral College system in this country works, you have to win over 50% of the electoral votes (which means you need 270).
If no one reaches that number, the entire election is invalidated and the President is selected by the House or Representivites.

So if you have 3 serious candidates all winning states and claiming electoral votes, getting to 270 would be a challenge for any candidate. In fact that 2000 election was so close in the electoral college, 267 to 271, that if Trump won even one State that year, The entire election would have been thrown out. And when an election is thrown out and the House or Representivites, dominated by Republicans and Democrats, the odds of them selecting a 3rd party over their own party are very unlikely.

This is why Trump is running as a Republican, he is just using the party for ligimate ballot access. If you suppourt him and want to vote for him, that is fine, just don't lie to yourself that he is a conservative. As to his logic common sense approach to issues, he just makes bold promises that are well beyond the power of the Presidency with no explanation as to how he will accomplish them. In this respect he is just like any other candidate.

This post is not a joke.

    Answer just one question, please.
Trump wants to deport the 11.7 million illegals in this country. Many have children born here, which makes them citizens, just like you and I. What do you suggest we do with those citizens, who are under age and unable to fend for themselves?

Okay, smartass. I think all of the Republican candidates are stupid this election, but Trump is stupid in a like-able way. Also, I highly doubt there will be a Republican President in 2016, as the democrats are getting far more support.

On a side note, illegal immigrants are here illegally, and I really don't care what happens to them. They are criminals, after all. We should send them to prison if they want a house in the U.S so badly, they'll be safe from whatever they're "fleeing", which is usually a convenient excuse to live a nicer lifestyle.

I suppose so many years of being stuck in your basement with a toy boat, 42 years your junior, has drained your senses and left you angry and ready for the great IIN war!

I don't disagree with any of what you said except that I don't see why we should support them in prison.
But what to do with the children who are citizens with exactly the same rights as you and I? That is the question I'd like a few of you who continue to avoid, to give me a well thought out, reasonable answer to.
Not crap like the moron who says the Supreme Court will get involved. He just proved he has no more understanding of the US system than some reptile. His answer certainly points to his actually being a fucking retard. For real!
The basement crap is getting way old; move on.

The children should not be considered citizens of the country, as their parents aren't. Also, why do you even care so much if you're "sailing the Caribbean with a young, hot wife"?

Donald Trump is not going to become President, it's just not going to happen. I watched his speech in my second basement (I have seven basements, each with its own blow up doll and toy boat), and can safely say that he will in no way get over 50% of the votes.

As for the children of illegal immigrants, geez, I don't know, maybe just reinstate slavery and sell them, which would give the U.S economy a boost too.

Quite an eloquent response, but a bit off topic. Is that the best you can do to answer a serious question? I guess so.

Its not what anyone "suggests" we do. Its what has to be done. We have no choice. They are going to be deported. Its too expensive, theyre committing crimes and costing taxpayers to keep them in prisons and they are causing traffic accidents and all sorts of havoc. They have to go. This is a "you or them" situation. Illegal immigrants and children of illegal immigrants cannot simply invade a country and suck up all its resources. No other country in the world would tolerate this and neither will we much longer.

These children are CITIZENS of this country. They are not responsible for the crimes of their parents. Where would these children be deported to? They are NOT citizens of their parents' countries. This IS their country!
So, would you suggest spending billions to deport 11 million people and set up facilities to raise, educate, feed, clothe and supply medical care for how many millions of their children, each and every one a citizen of this country with exactly the same rights and protections as you and I?
By the way, I am NOT for amnesty and I am for deportation of all illegals, but it just isn't as easy as you make it out to be.
Don't bother responding if all you have to contribute is the garbage above, again. Give us a practical, reasonable and LEGAL solution.

The cost of not doing anything far exceeds the cost of one-time deportation.

As for citizenship, there has not yet been a supreme court decision that says the babies of illegals are automatically citizens. The courts will decide this eventually

Why is it you insist in making a complete fool of yourself, time and time again?
Can't you answer a serious question with a well thought out, intelligent response, instead of the drivel comes out your fucking asshole when you fart?

TBH, I'm honestly a little surprised. I always thought you were a conservative, thegypsyailor. Well that is a fair point, like i said above am a liberal but Trumps commonsense thinking brought me in. The fact that he wants to put america back on top by way of speed, precision and strength is quite attractive, but his immigration views are quite negative, and the system he wants to replace it with is actually much more harmful than the immigration system we have now. It would enable rich foreign nationals to go into the USA and buy up all the land and flood it with inflated prices and short supply. I would rather have millions of illegal immigrants working hard not truly harming anybody that tens of millions of legals from who knows where, competing with average Americans for skilled jobs, property and food.

Trump wants to register people of certain religious faiths and shut down their places of worship.

He wants to give away a huge amount of money to rich people which would drive us into huge deficits.

He's against marriage equality, abortion rights, single-payer health care, debt-free college, and even vaccines.

You're no sort of liberal if you support that stuff.

He wants universal healthcare, he will make our country rich, and says he will not reverse gay marriage laws. U clearly pulled half of that nonsense out of your messy liberal ass. If u want a pile of men to be under then I guess trump isn't your guy. I support gay marriage and am a liberal.

He does not support universal healthcare anymore, he supports a private insurance system:

Q: Now, 15 years ago, you called yourself a liberal on health care. You were for a single-payer system, a Canadian-style system. Why were you for that then and why aren't you for it now?

TRUMP: As far as single payer, it works in Canada. It could have worked in a different age. What I'd like to see is a private system without the artificial lines around every state. I have a big company with thousands of employees. And if I'm negotiating in BY or NJ or CA, I have like one bidder. Nobody can bid. You know why? Because the insurance companies are making a fortune because they have control of the politicians. They're making a fortune. Get rid of the artificial lines and you will have yourself great plans. And then we have to take care of the people that can't take care of themselves. And I will do that through a different system.

Looking at colleges and realizing that all of those pretentious dipshits have the right to vote, things don't really seem promising anymore.
I remember how Ben Carson did catch up in the polls temporarily as the progressives started to support him just because he's black. Until they found out that he's actually a conservative.

Really shows how uninformed and clueless the liberal crowd is.

He did get support in Cali and Vermont especially from the college crowd. The black community in Vermont had no clue about what he stands for and were unfamiliar with his policies. Blacks supported him mostly for his religious views but later reconsidered their stance once they were informed by the libs at MSNBC that it would be counterproductive for minorities to vote for a conservative.

Blacks will blindly follow anyone who seems tolerant enough of their chimping.
