Is it normal to want to wear a tail?

Alright, so I'm a furry and I embrace that. Animal costumes are awesome and they look cool, I just can't afford a fursuit right now. I love drawing anthro animals and the community is typically very accepting.

I found this company that produces moving electronic tails that come with a remote (for about 100$, which is in my price range). First thought I had: wow, these are awesome and would make a cool fashion statement!
Second thought I had: shit, everyone will judge me.

Is it normal to want one of these? How weird would it be to wear one in public?

It's normal to want one of those if you're a furry. You'll be judged if you wear it in public, but it's not illegal.

It just grinds my gears that I can't wear it out without being judged.

Being a furry isn't all yiff, people! It's just like cosplay!

There's a Fed Ex guy in my area that wears a tail all the time and I've never seen anyone give him any trouble for it. If you want to wear it, go ahead.

It basically depends where you are and peoples perceptions of it. I was down around the bible belt chilling with some kid who wouldn't go out without a tail and we almost got our asses beat on multiple occasions because he refused to stop like he was some kind of discriminated race of dog/man

Yeah it would be weird, but you are already weird for being a furry. Just embrace the weirdness and get the tail if that's what you want. I'm saying this as a fellow furry.

It's completely normal, wanting to be an animal is a completely normal thing and that's why furries are also normal. I completely understand the feeling of wanting to be an animal. I'm no furry, but I am completely fine knowing that there are people that dress up like animals. It's all normal, if you see things that way.
