Is it normal to want to move out of state away from where you lived forever?

I've lived in Baltimore my entire life. But recently I've had thoughts about moving. I live with my aunt who is moving to Texas in June, and left open the option for me to move as well. My mother, 2 of my sisters, and my brother are moving to Alaska in June. My mother is best friends with the Dean from a college in Massachusetts, and I could easily get accepted (not only based on their friendship). My aunt went to Brown and I've been looking at going there as well. I'm just confused. I've lived in Maryland my entire life. All of my family is here, as well as "friends", my job. Is it normal to just want to get away from everything you've been around so long and just start fresh in a city where you don't know anyone? Especially when every year you look and see the faces and see nothing is really changing?

Some people just love the adventure that a new town/state/country will bring. I personally hate to live anyplace longer than a year. Yet, for others, staying in one place and building a history within ones community is far more important. Its just personal preference I guess.

Might as well move. Dont have regrets. Just do it. I've always wanted to move out of my state, but family said no. Lived here all my life. Should have left anyway before I met my husband. Now I'm stuck here. Hating it. I hate California. My husband and kids like it here. But they know I can't stand it. :***(

No regrets for you. Go! You have family supporting you. And me!!

Take the challenge and move elsewhere if you're up for it.

It's always nice to see and experience new things.
