Is it normal to want to go an an acid trip at least once?

I have seriously wondered about acid. I dont want to do it all the time, but i would like to try it just once. some of my friends have tried it, and they have told me how good it feels. Now, i am aware of the effects, and i know its damaging with repeated usage. but, i have wondered about what its like to feel it firsthand.

It was something I innocently wanted to try since youth.
Now I've done it over 50 times, in the span of less than a year. I haven't done it in months however, and don't really expect to do it again because I've already gotten what I wanted out of it.
Try it if you really want to, I definitely endorse acid use. But if you realize you can't handle it... Then stay away. Maybe find out about any mental disorders that might run in your family, because LSD can bring out dormant schizophrenia and things like that which haven't surfaced yet.
Otherwise it can be an amazing, LIFE CHANGING experience that will alter your perception of people and life in general. Happy tripping!

  • Dont listen to these fools.Okay I will let you decide if you REALLY want it or not.
POSITIVE EFFECTS:Mood lift, mental and physical stimulation, oceanic connections to the universe, life changing spiritual experiences, increased senses (Tase, smell, sound),increased appreciation and awarness for music, shifts in perception of reality, and closed and open eye visuals, and the floors may seem to melt, the walls might ripple or sway, and colors will seem alot brighter.
    NEGATIVE:Flashbacks,dizziness,frightening visions/delusions,mild to severe confusion,headaches,and megalomania.
So,try it at your own risk.

Hahaha, oh dear, I guess I didn't realize how much propaganda about LSD is still out there. It's totally normal, and its something I'd recommend if you're interested and decide it's right for you.. It can be a mind opening and lifechaning experience.

It's not addictive, and as for negative side effects..
It can trigger a dormant mental illness or worsen an existing one, but the statistics show that it rarely happens.
You might feel a bit depressed the day after because your seratonin receptors are tired and sluggish from being flooded the night before. Seratonin is naturally occurring in the brain.
Or, if you've been stressed or down or recently been through something traumatic, it may cause a "bad trip"

BUT as for the positive side effects...
    Mood lift
    Euphoria
    Feelings of connection with others
Feelings of a greater sense of peace or purpose
    Giggling
    Intense body high
    Closed eye visualizations
Open eye visuals are more rare but do occur
    And a whole bunch more.

For me I always felt really happy, kinda swimmy, chills down my spine, and visuals are mostly just tracers and lights and rainbows n shit. But closed eye visuals can seem like spirit journeys. Especially when combining a hallucinogenic substance with listening to idoser or other binural beats.

I can answer any questions you would have, and for more info go to
    www.erowid.com
Go to the plants and substances vault and look up the listings there. They have the real facts on drugs. What they do, the good, bad, and neutral effects, law, chemistry... You should find a lot of your questions answered there

Im 19, I've tripped a few times on a few different things and its not even that great. Your more sent into a different reality, not so much seeing unicorns and leprochauns(although you do see things but not like things popping out in front of you). One time I was on shrooms and acid and we were walking to 711 and we walked into this field and my friend said he saw like 20 deer stand up, we booked it, and the rest of the night I was just terrified that the deer were watching me, and in my mind the deer ruled the world and they were out to get me. I ended up driving my car through a forest bike-trail that night.

I'm sure you've heard about all the cool "tripping" stories but remember, not every trip is a good one.

Some of the side effects include the following:

Increased blood pressure and heart rate
    Dizziness
    Loss of appetite
    Dry mouth
    Sweating
    Nausea
    Numbness
    Tremors

    What's so cool about that?

And asprin "can" cause stomach bleeding, it won't 99.999999999999% of the time though.

What does that have to do with acid?

More importantly how does that even start to negate all the combined side effects?

Your statement does not magically turn acid into candy that's good for you.

All drugs have side effects, legal and non. Thats not to say you will actually experience that side effect when you take said drug. Honestly the side effects for LSD are fairly tame compared to many legal commonly used drugs.

LSD is actually one of the least harmful drugs out there. Its non-addictive, cannot directly harm or kill you regardless of how much you take, etc. Its only even illegal because it has no proven medical purpose. Following that logic alcohol should be illegal, but thankfully it isn't because of how high it's demand was.

Most people who want to convince you that it's perfectly safe and harmless are usually the ones trying to sell you some of it.

(and that's also assuming they're selling you pure drugs that haven't been cut with other crap... )

On top of the side effects, they won't tell you that
            it's extremely addictive
it can severely impact your health - due to post-high fatigue (which can affect sleeping & eating habits)
that the addiction often means the drug takes priority over other relationships

also, if taken in combination with other medications it can mimic some symptoms of mental illness
and if you are already mentally ill, it can make your condition even worse

"Most people who want to convince you that it's perfectly safe and harmless are usually the ones trying to sell you some of it."
Oh and every unbiased report out there, you forgot that one.

"(and that's also assuming they're selling you pure drugs that haven't been cut with other crap... )"
LSD isn't "cut" with anything, its not a powder. Its usually taken as a small drop or 2 on a piece of paper. Its also normally obvious if its not real, either too much soaked into the paper or it doesn't have much of an effect when taken.

The drug itself is not addictive. In fact its impossible to even take it more than a couple times a week, and even that is extremely heavy use. Any addiction is simply psychological.. its like saying you are addicted to skittles just because you don't want to stop eating them.

"also, if taken in combination with other medications it can mimic some symptoms of mental illness
and if you are already mentally ill, it can make your condition even worse"
While its true it can make pre-existing mental conditions worse or even activate "dormant" conditions, studies before it was made illegal had shown it was very rare. Like any drug, taking it because you don't want to deal with stresses in your life is not a good idea. Those are the conditions that create psychological dependency, and negatively impact your life. That is with any drug at all though, not just LSD, and not even just illegal ones.
