Is it normal to want to get drunk after getting fired?

Is it totally normal to want to get drunk as hell when you learn you got fired through a text? I worked for 2 companies just so they didn't have to pay me overtime and I missed a day in one place and got fired for both. And I'll quote the person He said no work no job.

it depends... on how often you get drunk.

once in a while is fine as long as you don't do something stupid.

the bigger issue however is... why did you miss work? and how often does this happen

(and.. if alcohol was involved then getting drunk may not be the issue)

I think it's fine to get drunk just once. The bad news isn't going to go away but at least you get a little time away from it before looking for another job.

  • I only get drunk in two occassions. When it's the weekend, and when it's not.
