Is it normal to want to be with someone who is 7 years older and has a child?

A few years ago I started to fall for my store manager, who at the time was in a horrible marriage but stayed because of his little girl. He would come me for advice and I would try to help
them stay together. Now he has divorced and I have found a new job... But is it normal for a 20 year old to fall for a 27 year old man with a child? We really care about each other and he was by my side all through a month long hospitalization... That and I love his daughter as if she where my own.... And sorry for the TL;DR type post

Take it s-l-o-w-l-y. Rebounds can hurt.

You're only 7 years apart. If you're sure of him, I say go for it.

Normal, and sounds lovely. I am with someone who is divorced, 15 years older than me, who has 4 kids. Admittedly, I would not advise my situation to anyone else, but I am just saying, your situation is comparatively simple. :) Go for it, and have fun!

Just realize that to succeed two people need to make an absolute ccommitment to one another to get over the hurdles of life. If it's just an experiment the odds are against you. If you decide to go forward and marry (don't cohabit, only marry), be sure to schedule time for intimacy, come hell or high water. When you have that romantic dinner, don't return home. Go to a nice hotel and enjoy a different environment together. Understand?

Hey I am engaged to a man I have been with for a year and a half and he is 33 soon to be 34 and I tuerned 23 this January and he has a son whom I love as much as I love my fiance (: Age is only a number. But I agree with that ^^^ just make sure he's not going through some mid-life crisis and/or rebound.

This is completely normal. Love doesn't have an age.
