Sorta agree, in that I very much doubt if I (a guy) would have been left permanently traumatised and psychologically scarred if an older woman had taken a sexual interest in me when I was fourteen and she'd been smart enough to teach me about women and sex in a cautious, slow way.

But women can be predatory too. Even these days, teachers are in a position of some authority, so the potential for abuse of that power is still there. And not all guys develop at the same rate. You might have been totally clued-up and rarin' to go at fourteen, and I'm sure you're not unique in that sense. But there will be guys of that age who are still trying to figure out their sexuality and are dealing with a lot of internal conflicts due to the hormone-storm raging in their head and what they've heard all their life from the people around them.

Some people may find that an incredibly fucked up story; I certainly feel very conflicted about it. But the facts are that two people with a more than 20 year age difference, one of whom was very immature when they met, stuck together through all that traumatic shit (including a huge amount of intrusive attention from the media and lurid reports in the cheaper papers) and then lived together as man and wife for much longer than the duration of many 'normal' marriages. It may be a very weird love story, but only someone stupid enough to insist on seeing the world in black and white terms would say that she was evil and he was no more than a victim of her wickedness.

I was disenchanted with sexual education in school, and thought a chapter on sexual technique would promote greater harmony between men and women in the future.
