Is it normal to want to be in a hospital?

Is it normal that I want to be in a hospital? For some reason, I want to be in a hospital bed while being constantly checked on by doctors. Some other people that I know have had this same feeling as well. I haven't tried much research on it so I decided to ask here as well.

Doctors don't check on you unless absolutely necessary. Nurses do, according to their schedule and dependent on how ill you are. So if you're constantly being checked on, you're in pretty bad shape and I strongly doubt you'd be enjoying it.

Keep your fantasy but I can assure you the reality is not fun: horrible food; lots of stupid rules and regulations; lack of privacy; authoritarian staff; if in a ward noisy/snoring/annoying room mates ... I could go on ....

Maybe you feel neglected on some level, and you're craving the attention you never received as a child?
