Is it normal to want to be friends with a boy who only went out with me for sex

My ex broke up with me because he didn't love me anymore then 3months later got in touch with me , and we ended up getting back together. I still hadn't got over him and he made me believe that he still loved me too but it turned out he was just going out with me for sex
But recently ( 7 months later) I keep getting an urge to text him , and I don't know whether I should or not . I really miss him (as a friend I think) even after what he did .
Is this normal ?

The Friendship will only lead to more heartache for you. Trust me, I know how this shit goes, I have been there and done that. History tends to repeat and eventually you will find yourself justifying hooking up with him again.

Dodge the bullet. Hell, stay out from in from of the gun.

Its normal. I talked to a guy that used me for sex multiple times as a friend. Why? I dont know. He was a piece of shit. I think it was because he was really attractive and i had a huge crush on him.

There's a different between urges and needs. But you knew that already. Some people get the urge to put peanut butter on their balls and get their dog to lick it off... that doesn't make it the right decision

This guy sounds like a real P.O.S.
My best friend would often come to me for advice, and though I've never been in a relationship like that, I can advise you the same thing I advised her. Leave that jerk. Curse how you feel, if you let someone manipulate you in that way, then you really should rethink your ideals...
