Is it normal to want to be friends after sex?

I think that is what I want. To date and sex for a few months exclusively and then just stop the shenanigans and be good friends. It gets the tension out of the way and then you have a friend you know on a much deeper level than if you hadn't slept with him. Is it normal that I think this may be how I should live my life?

It makes sense to me but emotionally most people aren't ready for that. it takes a special kind of person to be able to accept this . They will either develop feelings based on your intimacy or they will continue to desire your fuck sessions , especially if it was good sex between the two . It's hard to ask someone to shut that off as it's a very powerful emotion in itself , to desire someone sexually .

      True words.

In an idealistic hippie society that would be awesome but in reality you'll break a lot of hearts in the forge.
