I'm an 18 year old girl, and i want all males to be attracted to me and look at me sexually, i get upset if i dont get attention or boys dont show enough interest. I have a BF that im so in love with but i cant help but want others to still give me attention and to want me. Its been going on for years and Its so bad that ive ended previous relationships because of it. i want them to also take advantage of me but i don't want to cheat in a relationship (that's why i have ended previous ones.) Is this normal? What should i do?

    You can't make everyone want you. No matter what you do there will always be outliers, and probably a lot of them. Some goals are a lost cause.

    I think you should derive your self-worth from something more inside your own control than the opinions of other people. It's your choice what you choose to make of your own life, but living for other peoples' eyes probably isn't a sustainable way to be happy for anyone.

      Extremely low self-esteem. But no daddy issues. I was abused when i was little though by a man which sometimes i think might be why. Anyways Thankyou.

        I'm truly sorry to hear that you were abused by a man as a child!

        I'm not sure I understand, but I I'd be willing to bet that anyone that hasn't grown up knowing her or his father and had a healthy relationship with their father has daddy issues.

        Were your parents married or at least living together? Was there any history of drug or alcohol addiction in your family of origin. Did you know your grandparents on both or either sides of your family? Were there any strong, healthy and appropriate male role models in your life for you when you were a child and adolescent? What kind of relationship did you have with your mother? What of person was she?

        Sorry to ask so many questions. I'm just trying to get a better idea here about what you've been through.

    An item can be subjected to a hundred different opinions. It's no different for a person. Not everyone will find you attractive, period. Either accept that and move on with life, or never exclusively date anyone after telling your boyfriend what's on your mind. Who knows, maybe he likes to share (people have their quirks).
