Is it normal to want an english partner specifically
I am a woman on the autistic spectrum and ever since I was very small i've had a bit of a special interest for the english language (I am scandinavian). I also read that my country is the worst in europe at dating !
I am very anxious and shy in real life but one thing i've noticed is that when I get to talk english my confidence rises and I feel more "at home". A dream of mine has always been to meet someone specifically from the UK. I would love someone with a scottish or irish accent, though these are merely shallow preferences and nothing more than that.
I was wondering if it's far fetched to assume I could find an english man on a dating app and expect it to work out ? How many are willing to move for love ? I know someone from here who recently bought a house with her english long distance boyfriend, he's moved here now. I don't know how common this is though.
For me distance is no problem. I have no extreme physical desires and I suck at verbal communication, especially in the beginning. I also value mental, spiritual connection most which comes from deep conversations which I feel are heavily overlooked as when i've tried to establish them with someone i'm dating in real life they get annoyed because sex has to be first because we're there together so it has to happen fast !
-.- I like having my space too. Lots of space.
