Is it normal to wait years after high school for an interracial relationship?

I'm a black girl, and even though I am a great catch by anyone's standards (seriously not bragging or anything so please don't post any hateful comments. I have a beautiful light-skinned color, I cheer-lead so I have a slim fit body, I love the arts (painting, drawing, writing, dancing), quiet, shy at times, smart, down to earth, pretty, etc I'm just trying to describe myself in the most neutral way while still giving homage to who I am) I stopped having interracial relationships completely after elementary school (boys stopped liking me).

I have looked up some things online, and from what I'm getting, I'm going to have to tread water until college to even have hopes of being in a relationship with someone I'm actually attracted to (JUST DESCRIBING! white, asian, Native-American, Italian, German, Maori...etc. many other with maybe some black guys in there if I find one I actually like) because of maturity and independence reasons.

I know I'm extremely foolish for putting myself through this but you can't help your heart.

Is it normal?

What??? I don't know if I get the question either. But many white guys love black women, they just don't admit it ie. Robert Dinero, Bill Maher, etc. If you're as beautiful as you say you should have no problem finding any man you want, regardless of race. If you're 18 and older, put a profile up on a dating website. There are even sites dedicated exclusively to interracial dating, there'll be more white guys throwing it at you then you'll be able to stand.. LOL

I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but I don't see that timing is particularly an issue if you want an interracial relationship. You seem to be saying that boys your age aren't attracted to black girls, but later on they will be. I'm really not sure that's true.

Have you tried making the first move with guys? They may be falsely assuming you'd be only interested in black guys, and so don't bother asking you out.
