Is it normal to use the handicap stall if no handicap people are there?

Today I used a handicap stall. No handicap people were around. I admit other stalls were open but there were 3 handicap stalls so I figured no biggie. It was a huge bathroom.

Right after I went in I hear screaming and this woman started kicking at the door and screaming handicap person needs to use this stall (she must have came in after me entering the stall ) I was already in the midst of the act. Mind you there were no feet in the handicap stall next to me.

I come out and see thethe woman who was kicking sitting in a wheel chair, but I wondered how handicapped she was. Her purple shoes were kicking at the door hard.

I wasn't going to argue with her that therthere were 2 other open handicapped stalls when I walked out because she seemed nuts.

Is it okay to use the handicap stall when there are three like in my situation. Is it okay to use the handicap stall in any situation?

It's ok. I do it even if regular stalls are open. More comfortable 27
It's ok only if all regular stalls are occupied & no handicap ppl arou 23
It's NOT ok to use the handicap stall 7

    There were other handicap stalls and she still kicked at your door? You should have yelled "I'm taking a shit, you bitch!"

    I guess that's mean but she sounds like she deserved it.

      I meant to write the post I posted earlier to you: "I was totally confused by her actions considering the other open stalls. I kept wondering how handicapped she could have been with that kick. How much did she need that wheelchair. I wish I had the bravery to yell like you suggested."

    I found myself using the handicap cubicle in the US for a different reason. My reason was for more privacy.

    I felt uncomfortable with the rather large gaps beneath the doors and how there is a gap between the door the wall. The handicap cubicle was normally located at the far end and the toilet was not in view from door gap.

    I often use the handicap stall. I'm only going to be in there a minute. I never thought of handicap stalls being "exclusive" like parking spaces, because I rarely see a wheelchair bound person in the men's room. If they're not in a wheelchair they can use any stall. I always thought the "handicap" stall sign only meant that the stall was big enough to accommodate a wheelchair, not that it was only for handicapped people.

      I feel that way too. I was only in there more than a minute because I got nervous from her kicking the door hard.

        She sounds like a bitch. How does she know that YOU weren't handicapped? Maybe you have a perform complex bow-legged squats to shit.

    I'm disabled and used the disabled toilets more often than not but I certainly would not tolerate the behaviour that woman displayed by kicking the door aggressively while I was taking care of my bodily functions in privacy and would've told her to fuck off and find another stall that was a disabled one ... Or I'd have made her wait and wait and let her crap/wet herself to serve her right! I wouldn't have any regrets doing that. Cruel I know! Hey ho! I'm expecting some mixed comments on this.
