Is it normal to use my old cargo shorts for wall storage

So, my favourite pair of cargo shorts is beyond repair so I thought maybe I should nail them to the wall and use the pockets to store stuff in.

      There cargo shorts so they have big pockets.
      I thought if put it next to my desk and can keep stuff like stationary, torches, USB sticks ect.
