Is it normal to use lidocaine as lube?

The gel used for oral lesions contains 2g of lidocaine for every 100g of gel, so its relatively weak.

It has amazing glide, the same if not better than the lube you get from sex shops, and only mildly numbs my member. I know some condoms, that are supposed to make you last longer, and some sprays contain lido- or benzocaine aswell, so Im assuming its not too harmful.

But is it normal?

    It may make you last longer for the male, however, the problem with this gel is if you use it for anal sex. This is bad, because pain tells you something is wrong. So by using this something bad could happen and you and your partner may not feel it until damage has occurred. Same for using it for oral sex, the penis can penetrate to far and damage the back of the throat.

    So it would help you last longer? Normal as long as it's not harmful and I don't see how it could be if it's ok for gums

      Sex shops sell lidocaine lubed condoms and benzocaine spray anyway. Its of so little concentration, that its safe for mucus membranes like gums. Its nowwhere near harmful.

      Yeah it makes me last a tiny bit longer. I like the partial numbness, its like having sex while drunk, without the limp dick.

        I agree, best for anal sex. My partners and I use it, not strong enough to make you that numb.
